Massive Commercial Fire Tears Through San Bernardino Building
Firefighters battled a massive commercial structure fire early Saturday morning in San Bernardino, preventing the flames from spreading to a nearby dance studio.
Just before 2:30 a.m. on July 18, 2026, San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to reports of a commercial structure fire near West Highland Avenue and North Arrowhead Avenue.
The first arriving engine encountered heavy fire showing from the front of the building, with flames extending through the roof. Due to the volume of fire, firefighters transitioned to a defensive strategy, attacking the blaze from the exterior using handlines and a ladder truck.
Despite the intense fire conditions, crews successfully protected a dance studio located behind the involved building, preventing the flames from spreading further.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
