Massive Black Bear Breaks Into Lake Tahoe Home

A Lake Tahoe family got an unexpected visitor after a massive black bear apparently made its way inside their home through a partially open window.

Home surveillance video from August 27, 2026, shows the bear casually walking through the house and snooping around just feet from an indoor camera.

The homeowner said the bear apparently entered and later left through a window that had been slightly open.

Afterward, the family found empty Diet Coke bottles, cookie packages and other food items the bear had gotten into during its visit.

Despite the bear’s size and impromptu snack run, the homeowner said there was only minimal damage inside the house.
