Manhattan Beach: Investigation Underway After Officers Discover One Person Dead, Another In Critical Condition

05.21.2020 | 9:30 PM | MANHATTAN BEACH – An investigation is underway after officers found one person dead and another in critical condition, Thursday night.

Authorities responded to reports of two individuals down near the intersection of 12th Place and Ocean Drive near The Strand at around 9:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene located one person deceased on scene and another in critical condition.

Firefighter paramedics transported the patient in critical condition to an area hospital.

The area surrounding the discovery was cordoned off while officers investigation the suspicious death.

The identity of the victims was not immediately available.
