Man ‘Stranded’ in Lake For Eight Hours Finally Rescued | San Bernardino

05.04.2022 | 9:47 PM | SAN BERNARDINO – At 9:34 PM First Responders were originally dispatched to reports of a possible drowning and CPR in progress.

Upon arriving on scene, fire fighters actually found a man that was alive and floating around in Seccombe Lake

After speaking with the reporting party who was a family member of the victim, firefighters were notified that the man was severely altered and not communicating, but was alive but had been in the lake for over 7 hours.

Fire attempted to make contact with the victim but the victim appeared to very agitated and non compliant

San Bernardino County Fire also began making attempts to get PD to come to the seen for the sake of safety for both first responders and for the victim.

Water rescue team arrived on scene, geared up and began to float out with rescue gear and begin the rescue.

When the team initial made contact with the victim, he seemed calm and compliant

However as the team got closer to the shored the victim started to become agitated.

When they made shore the victim got very agitated and began to fight with first responders to get away.

He got away the first two times and swam back to the middle of the lake.

The victim was then transported to a near by hospital after being in the water for close to 8 hours.
