Man Steals Ambulance From Fatal Stabbing Scene

DETAILS:
- Video footage from a hotel balcony from a guest staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Los Angeles Downey shows the moment a suspect stole a Downey Fire Department ambulance outside of the Downey City Library during a homicide investigation.
- In the 19-second-long video, you can see police officers on foot and patrol vehicles following the suspect as he speeds down the parking lot of the Library after he hopped into the ambulance and left the area.
- A pursuit was initiated and came to an end when the suspect in the stolen ambulance crashed into a parked vehicle in Alhambra.
- Additional footage shot by Rene Garcia shows the crime scene and body of the victim covered in a yellow tarp after being pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics.
- Unconfirmed reports from a witness at the scene stated an altercation between 2 males occurred outside the Downey City Library. The suspect stabbed the victim in the neck. It is unclear if the suspect stayed on scene or left shortly after the stabbing. A unrelated male that was not apart of the stabbing managed to steal the ambulance after medical personnel arrived on scene. Both stabbing suspect and the suspect who stole the ambulance have been arrested.
