Man Shot and Killed Near Alley in LA

On September 7, 2025, at approximately 12:09 a.m., a man was shot and killed near the intersection of Sawtelle Boulevard and Missouri Avenue in the Sawtelle neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The victim was found near an alley entrance on Missouri Avenue, between Sawtelle Boulevard and Beloit Avenue. LAFD paramedics initially prepared to transport the man to a hospital but determined he was already deceased.
Because the victim was loaded into an ambulance prior to the determination, the vehicle was held at the scene pending the arrival of LAPD detectives and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. Once detectives complete their on-scene investigation, the coroner will transfer the victim from the ambulance.
No suspect description has been released.
