Man Shot and Killed Just Outside Long Beach Grand Prix

DETAILS:
- A man was shot multiple times just 500 feet away from the Grand Prix racing circuit during an active GT America race and later died at the hospital Saturday afternoon
- Long Beach Police responded to the area alongside FBI agents and US customs agents who were assisting in event security
- Arriving, they located a solo male down on the ramp from Seaside Way toward Pacific Ave & Walk of 1000 Lights
- Social media video showed a man bloodied and unresponsive. LBFD paramedics responded and rushed the victim to a hospital where they later died
- Police have confirmed it is a murder scene and homicide investigators are enroute to the area
- The incident took place just west of the circuit as race cars were zooming through the track. OSV photog was only 500 feet away inside the race venue but could not hear the shots
- No other injuries were reported. Police indicate a group of males were seen exiting from the Five Below business just prior to the shooting, possibly the suspects. It is unclear how the interaction between them and the victim transpired.
