Man Shoots At Police After Pointing Gun At Firefighters | San Diego

06.04.2022 | 12:06 AM | SAN DIEGO – Firefighters from Engine #39 responded to a fire call inside an apartment. When they arrived, there was no fire or smoke. They went into the apartment when the male suspect pointed a handgun at them. They retreated and called for the Police. Officers arrived and were staged down the hallway. After approx. 20 minutes, the suspect fled his apartment and started to fire his weapon at the officers. He fired between 7-10 shots. He may have fired more a few seconds later. The suspect made it outside of the apartment building and headed towards the east part of the apartment complex. He got into a lowered area of the apartment and may have shot himself in the head, killing himself. The Police are investigating and Tierrasanta Blvd is closed to eastbound traffic at Canyon Trail.
