Man Rescued From Underground Sewer | Anaheim
07.06.2021 | 9:38 PM | ANAHEIM – Anaheim Fire and Rescue along with anaheim police responded to reports of screams for help and cries coming from underneath the street possibly from the sewer. Upon arrival, authorities heard a male screaming and his cries for help. A full USAR (Uban Search And Rescue) response was dispatched to the location along with the city of Orange fire department for assistance in the search and rescue. The USAR team utilized sonar and sophisticated listing devices to aid in the location and rescue of the trapped person. After over an hour of lifting manhole covers and vigorously searching for the victim, a male adult was located. The male adult was located in the underground sewer pipes at the intersection of Coventry Dr.and Juno Ave. The man was in and out of consciousness when he was located by search and rescue. The man was extracted from the sewer and treated by paramedics. The man was transported to a local area a hospital in an unknown condition.
