Man Rescued From Burning Houston Home

A man was rescued from a burning home and transported to the hospital following an overnight house fire in Houston.

At approximately 1:17 a.m. on July 29, 2026, Houston Fire Department crews responded to the 15000 block of Buxley Drive after reports of a residential structure fire.

According to the captain at the scene, firefighters arrived to find the home heavily involved in fire. Crews quickly located and rescued one adult male from the residence before transitioning to a defensive firefighting operation due to the intensity of the blaze.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

Firefighters remained on scene for several hours working to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby homes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
