Man Rescued After Falling Off Sunset Cliffs | San Diego

08.14.2021 | 2:20 AM | SAN DIEGO – Firefighters and Officers responded to a call about a male who had fallen approx 40 ft from the cliffs to the beach below.

Upon arrival, they found well over 100 young adults in the parking lot, the cliff trails, and down on the beach, as they were having a party down on the beach in a park that is supposed to be closed at 10:00 pm.

Firefighters made their way down to the beach and were pointed to where the victim was lying on the beach.

The victim had many major injuries from broken ankles to reportedly a broken arm and ribs.

Firefighters set up a rope and pulley system and brought the victim up to the top of the cliff approx 70 feet high.

The victim was transported to a local hospital.

The rescue took over 1 hour to accomplish.
