Man Refuses To Exit Car After Crashing

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4:30 am 5-17-25
LOCATION: 93rd St and Broadway
AREA/CITY: South LA
DETAILS:

1. CHP officers were following a vehicle for a possible DUI.
2. The driver sideswiped a parked vehicle and tried to make a U-turn but stopped in the middle of the road.
3. The suspect refused to exit and was not following commands for over 30 minutes.
4. LAPD air unit put out a backup call.
5. The suspect finally exited his vehicle and was arrested after a few DUI tests.
