Man Pronounced Dead After Vehicle vs Pedestrian Collision

At approximately 12:02am on March 2nd, 2026, Rialto Police Department and Rialto Fire personnel responded to a reported vehicle versus pedestrian collision at East Foothill Boulevard and North Eucalyptus Avenue in Rialto.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male down in the intersection and immediately began CPR. Fire personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

Officers evaluated the driver involved for possible DUI; however, authorities indicated the driver appeared to pass the evaluation and was not arrested at the scene.

The intersection remained closed for an unknown duration while officers conducted their investigation.
