Man Paddleboards With Two Dogs Down Flooded PCH In Sunset Beach

For the third consecutive day, high tide sent floodwaters across Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach, but one man and his two dogs found an unusual way to take in the scene. 🐕🌊

On October 28, 2026, coastal flooding once again covered portions of PCH in Huntington Beach, with water spreading across all lanes near the Best Western hotel.

A time-lapse captured the rising tide before, during, and after its peak, showing floodwaters gradually spreading across the roadway.

Wednesday’s flooding was less severe than Tuesday’s conditions but remained worse than the first day of flooding on Monday.

Among the unusual sights was a man paddleboarding up and down the flooded highway with two dogs riding along, taking in the rare scene.

The unexpected moment provided a lighter sight amid three days of coastal flooding that have affected the Sunset Beach area.
