Man Killed With Hammer In East Hollywood

At approximately 9:00 p.m. on May 7, 2026, officers responded to reports of a stabbing near Virgil Avenue and Willow Brook Avenue in East Hollywood.

When crews arrived, a man was found critically injured and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators later determined the victim had been killed with a hammer rather than stabbed.

Authorities described the victim as a Latino man believed to be around 40 years old.

Police are searching for a white pickup truck carrying Lime scooters that is believed to be connected to the homicide.

The suspect remains outstanding as the investigation continues.
