Man Killed In House Fire, Attempted Rescue Efforts From Firefighters | Del Mar

08.12.2022 | 1:54 PM | DEL MAR – Firefighters responded to a report of a residential fire on the 1500 block of Luneta Drive. When First Responders arrived, they found a single-story residence with smoke showing from the front of the house. Firefighters made access inside the home and found an unconscious male in his 70s and quickly pulled him out. Firefighters performed CPR on the male for several minutes before loading him onto an awaiting ambulance and transporting him to a local hospital in CPR status. Firefighters also found a dog inside the residence but did not appear to be injured. Fire Investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. No other injuries were reported.
