Man Killed, Child Injured in Willowbrook Crash

At approximately 5:11am on March 17th, 2026, Los Angeles County Fire Department crews and LAPD officers responded to a reported single-vehicle crash on the Wilmington Avenue overpass along Imperial Highway in the Willowbrook area of Los Angeles County.

According to investigators, a vehicle traveling westbound on Imperial Highway struck the center divider on the bridge. A 34 year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 7 year-old child who was inside the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The condition of the child was not immediately released.

Authorities closed the bridge in both directions as detectives conducted their investigation and awaited the arrival of the Medical Examiner. The closure caused significant traffic delays as drivers attempted to reroute through nearby residential streets.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
