Man Killed After Slamming Into Trash Truck | San Diego

04.25.2022 | 6:37 PM | SAN DIEGO – The male driver of the sedan slammed into the back of a Republic trash truck as they were both driving northbound on the SR-163. The car was at a high rate of speed and hit the Mansfield bar on the rear of the trash truck. Firefighters arrived and the male victim was declared deceased at the scene as he was crushed under the dash of the car. the driver of the trash truck was going approx 20 mph in the slow lane as he was climbing grade up from Mission Valley.
