DETAILS:

1.  HPD and HFD responded to reports of a shooting
2. arriving units located a male in his 20s with a gunshot wound to the neck
3. male was transported to a local trauma center where he remains in critical condition
4. prelim info, male got into an argument at the pumps with at least one person when the situation got physical
5. female attempted to intervene and ultimately shot the male
6. other parties fled the scene in a car
