Man Found Shot Dead Outside Vehicle In Huntington Park

At approximately midnight on May 31, 2026, Huntington Park Police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of California Avenue and Florence Avenue.

Responding officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds outside of a vehicle in a strip mall parking lot.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators marked numerous shell casings scattered throughout the area as they worked to document evidence and determine what led to the shooting.

Friends and family members gathered nearby as officers secured the scene and continued their investigation.

Authorities later requested assistance from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, which assumed responsibility for the investigation.
