Man Found Shot Dead Outside LA Hospital
A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death inside an SUV outside a hospital in Los Angeles’ Westlake neighborhood early Saturday morning.
At approximately 4:00 a.m. on July 12, 2026, Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the area of 6th Street and Witmer Street, where they discovered a man suffering from fatal gunshot wounds inside a black Dodge Durango parked outside a local hospital.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Just 20 minutes earlier, a woman suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived at California Hospital Medical Center in critical condition after a shooting near the intersection of 7th Street and Burlington Avenue, only a few blocks away.
Investigators are working to determine whether the two shootings are connected, though authorities have not yet confirmed a link.
LAPD Rampart Division detectives remained on scene gathering evidence as the investigation continued.
No suspect information has been released.
