Man Found Dead In Car After Hydrant Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 9-5-24 | 3:12 a.m.
LOCATION: Slauson & Corning Ave
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. LACoFD & CHP dispatched to a report of a vehicle vs fire hydrant
2. CHP arrived to find a male not conscious & not breathing in his vehicle
3. Officers confirmed the male didn’t have a pulse
4. LACoFD arrived and started CPR
5. Eventually firefighters applied a LUCAS device
6. The male was declared deceased on scene
7. CHP is currently investigating the incident
