Man Fatally Shot in Apartment Parking Lot

DETAILS:

1. On January 11th, 2026, at about 12:35 AM, Fontana PD, County Fire, and AMR responded to a reported gunshot victim at Bay-Tower Townhouse Apartments at 16153 Merrill Avenue in Fontana.
2. Units located a victim down in the parking lot area of the complex.
3. That victim was transported with unknown injuries, with CPR in progress and was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
4. Fontana PD has established a crime scene within the parking lot.
5. A bike can be seen lying in the lot.
6. Later on, a 31-year-old man was arrested for the murder.
7. No other infomation was released at the scene.
