Man Ejected and Killed in Roll Over Crash

SOUTH PASADENA (CNS) – A 58-year-old man was killed Saturday in a single- vehicle rollover crash near South Pasadena, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 4:40 a.m. Saturday near the York Boulevard exit of the southbound 110 Freeway. California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene, where they found the overturned SUV blocking the slow lane, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kraviz told City News Service.
Zoran Zarich, a Pasadena resident, was driving a 2021 Infiniti QX80 that struck the raised curb and perimeter fence at the west side of the roadway, according to a CHP statement.
The vehicle overturned and Zarich, the lone occupant inside the SUV, was ejected. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
A Sigalert issued at 5:15 a.m. closing the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the southbound freeway was canceled at 7:45 a.m.
