Man Dead After Fight Turns Fatal in Houston

LOCATION: 1100 Freeport St
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:

  1. Updated video shows an individual handcuffed and taken into custody at the crime scene
  2. At 730pm HCSO deputies responded to unknown medical emergency at 11000 block of Freeport St
  3. Upon arrival they discovered an unknown male unresponsive for unknown reasons
  4. Deputies attempted lifesaving measure until EMS arrived
  5. EMS took over life saving measures and was pronounced deceased on scene
  6. Homicide detectives are on scene working the case
  7. Victim may have been involved in a fight earlier with a male who came back to the scene and said he was involved in a fight with him
  8. Police can’t tell if victim had injuries consistent with a stab or gunshot
  9. Suspect who came back was identified by a witness who saw him engaged in a fight with the victim earlier
  10. Only two were involved in the fight
