Phoenix Fire and Police responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of 19th Ave & Thomas Road.

Crews arrived and located a traffic accident involving three cars.

One man was trapped inside of an SUV.

Phoenix Fire crews worked quickly to extricate the trapped patient.

Once extricated, the driver was transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition.

Phoenix Police responded to the scene and established a hard closure for the intersection.

A male was observed being taken into custody following a field sobriety test.

Phoenix Police are investigating the collision.
