Man Claims He Has A Bomb In His Van After Pursuit

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1-19-24 | Approx 8:30 p.m.
LOCATION: 118 East & Reseda
AREA/CITY: Los Angeles
DETAILS:

1. LAUSD PD was in pursuit of a grey van in the Northridge / Porter Ranch Are
2. The driver was taken into custody
3. The man (a 40-year-old white male) claimed there were explosives in the van
4. All traffic on the 118 was shut down
5. CHP, LAFD & LAPD Bomb Squad have been requested
6. The bomb squad arrived and cleared the vehicle
7. No threats were found
8. The freeway should be opening shortly
