Man Barricaded in Car Shuts Down Disneyland Traffic For 2 hours

LOCATION: 1500 block of West Katella Ave
CITY: Anaheim
DETAILS:

1. According to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Jon McClintock, Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to assist Anaheim Police Department with a barricaded subject.
2. Anaheim Police Department responded to multiple reports of a reckless driving suspect, who stopped in the road facing near Katella Ave and Euclid Street.
3. Anaheim PD Swift Response Team along with the Anaheim Police Bearcat and two Anaheim PD Negotiators responded to assist with the barricade.
4. The immediate area where the barricade took place is a major artery to the Disneyland resort area.
5. Police shut down traffic in both directions for around 2 hours.
6. Police took the suspect into custody without incident.
7. The man was not injured and declined medical attention.
8. The barricade ended just before 9pm
