Man Attempts to Light Apartment On Fire and Injures 4 People

DETAILS:

1. LAPD responded to a report of a man attempting to light his apartment on fire
2. He allegedly lit a rag on fire and then lit the apartment on fire
3. LAPD officers arrived and, after a slight struggle, were able to get the suspect into custody
4. Officers then began evacuating the apartment complex
5. Firefighters arrived and began to extinguish the flames
6. In total four people were injured during the incident
7. It is believed a 19-year-old, an elderly female, an LAPD officer, and the suspect were injured
8. At least one person was transported to an area hospital
9. LAFD Arson has been requested
