Man Air Lifted After Violent Crash With Big Rig | San Diego

02.08.2022 | 7:50 PM | SAN DIEGO – The male driver of the semi-truck and trailer smashed into the truck also driven by a male.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

The male in the pick-up truck was trapped for over 35 minutes with major injuries (Life-threatening) according to the Fire Dept.

A street pole was taken down.

The victim was transported by SDFD Copter 2 to a local hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries.

There is a large diesel spill from the semi and the HAZMAT crew is cleaning up the spill.

We were informed that there is more to this story and 3 SDPD Detectives have arrived which is unusual for a traffic collision.
