Malibu: Driver Dead After FJ Cruiser Rolls Down Cliff Into Ocean

04.07.2019 | 7:40 PM | MALIBU – One person was killed after the FJ Cruiser they were traveling in went off a cliff and landed into a rocky portion of the Pacific Ocean surf line, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a vehicle off the side of a cliff in the 9000 block of Pacific Coast Highway around 7:40 PM.

Units arriving on scene located the red Toyota FJ Cruiser down approximately 150 feet into a rocky portion of the surf line.

Rescuers made access to the vehicle and determined it’s solo occupant deceased.

Due to the precarious position of the vehicle, additional resources were called in to assist in stabilizing and recovering it.

Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
