Male Shot to Death in Long Beach
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: Wednesday 5-8-24/12:14 am
LOCATION: 8th street & Atlantic Ave

DETAILS:
- LBPD responded to the area of 8th Street and Atlantic Avenue for reports of a hit shooting and a dark green-colored SUV speeding off from the area (suspect vehicle).
- Upon LBPD’s arrival, they located one male black victim suffering from multiple GSWs to his upper body and was unconscious and not breathing.
- LBPD immediately rendered CPR/first aid until the Long Beach fire department arrived. LBFD pronounced the victim deceased on the scene after attempting to continue CPR with no results.
- LBPD is speaking to the deceased victim’s girlfriend and other witnesses as she was on the scene.
- Per one witness, he heard and viewed the dispute, and then a male Hispanic shot and killed the male black victim.
- LBPD is investigating; the suspect is still at large.
