- On August 27th, 2025, at 10:35 PM, Residents in the 1200 Block of Michigan Street in Grand Terrace were awoken by the sounds of flowing water from a significant water main break.
- The Riverside Highland Water Company responded to the scene and was able to shut off the water, but not before causing significant damage to at least two homes.
- One home has a sunken living room with at least 5-10 inches of water and mud throughout the home.
- Another home reported water damage to their kitchen and living room.
- Water has been turned off to the surrounding neighborhood, with no estimated completion time for the repairs.
- Michigan Street has been closed in both directions between Van Buren Street and Pico Street due to the
