Major Traffic Collision Sends Six To The Hospital | San Bernardino County

04.17.2022 | 1:03 PM | RIMFOREST – First responders were dispatched to reports of a 2 vehicle TC on highway 18 in rim forest with multiple people trapped

Upon arriving on scene first responders found 2 vehicles with major damage, with 2 people trapped requiring extrication.

The major TC resulted in an immediate order to shut down highway 18 from 18 & Pine Ave and Lake Gregory drive.

Fire fighters extricated the two trapped victims and immediately requested air rescue

The two extricated victims were transported to Loma Linda hospital in critical condition

4 other victims were transported by ground ambulance, 2 went to arrowhead regional and the other two were transported to Saint Bernardines.

Highway 18 remained completely shut down for just under 2 hours

There were hundreds of cars that were backed for a few miles in the upbound lane going towards lake arrowhead.
