Maintenance Worker Shot After Confronting Suspects In Houston

A maintenance worker was shot multiple times early Sunday morning after confronting a group of individuals at a Houston apartment complex, according to police.

At approximately 12:17 a.m. on July 20, 2026, Houston Police officers responded to the 3600 block of Old Spanish Trail for a reported shooting.

Investigators said the maintenance worker had earlier asked a group of teenagers or young adults to leave the property. According to police, the group later returned, confronted the worker, and opened fire, striking him multiple times.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

Police are searching for four suspects described as three males and one female, all of whom were reportedly wearing dark hooded sweatshirts when they fled the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify those responsible.
