Lucerne Valley: Firefighters Battle Destructive House Fire

04.27.2020 | 3:38 AM | LUCERNE VALLEY – A destructive house fire destroyed several vehicles and left a dog missing, early Monday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning in the 15800 block of Verdugo Avenue around 3:38 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a single-story home with heavy fire showing from the roof and began to douse the blaze.

One dog was located roaming around outside the home but another was still missing.

Firefighters battled the blaze for just under an hour.

No injuries were reported but the fire destroyed several vehicles surrounding the involved structure.

This is the second fire reported in the Lucerne Valley in only a matter of hours and investigators are working to determine the cause.
