Los Angeles: Woman Shot In Possible Botched Robbery

03.26.2019 | 11:30 PM | LOS ANGELES – A woman was gunned down in a possible botched robbery, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a gunshot victim near the intersection of Avenue 43 and Griffin Avenue in Montecito Heights late Monday night.

Officers arriving on scene located a woman in her 50s suffering from a gunshot wound.

Firefighter paramedics treated the woman on scene before transporting her to USC Medical Center.

Initial reports indicate the woman may have been shot after a failed robbery attempt.

Officers cordoned off the scene while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
