Los Angeles: Woman Killed By Gunshot To The Head

11.25.2018 | 11:35 PM | LOS ANGELES – Detectives were investigating after a woman was found dead from a gunshot wound to her head, late Sunday night.

Officers responded to a reported shooting with a person down in the 6500 block of South Vermont Avenue shortly after 11:35 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a female victim on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. Firefighter paramedics determined the woman, described as being approximately 45-years-old, was deceased on scene.

A crime scene was established while detectives responded to the scene to investigate.

Apparent bullet holes could be seen embedded in a building near where the woman was found.

No arrests were immediately made and a suspect description was not available.
