Los Angeles: Vandals Deface Mural Of Civil Rights Leaders
11.29.2018 | 11:45 AM | LOS ANGELES – The scrawling of swastikas on a mural that depicts black civil rights leaders was being investigated as a hate crime, Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to reports of around 11:45 AM of graffiti scrawled on a mural near the intersection of 48th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard.
Officers arrived on scene and found white swastikas that had been sprayed over the mural that depicts the likes of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X.
No witnesses observed the event but officers were canvassing the area in hopes of locating surveillance that might have captured the crime in progress.
