Los Angeles: Strip Mall Under Renovation Erupts In Flames

12.25.2018 | 12:43 AM | LOS ANGELES – A strip mall under construction in the Reseda area burst into flames, Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in the 7100 block of North Lindley Avenue around 12:43 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located an one-story L-shaped strip mall with heavy fire showing and began efforts to attack the blaze.

Within 30 minutes firefighters had knocked down the fire which destroyed a substantial portion of the strip mall.

The strip mall appears to have been undergoing renovations at the time of the fire.

It was unclear whether any units of the mall were occupied.

Officials were responding to investigate the cause of the fire.
