Los Angeles: Possible Hit & Run Crash Leaves Motorcyclist Dead

06.26.2019 | 12:13 AM | LOS ANGELES – A motorcyclist was dead after a crash involving a possible hit and run driver, early Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a motorcyclist down on the eastbound I-10 Freeway near the La Brea on ramp around 12:13 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located the motorcyclist down in lanes and pronounced them deceased from obvious trauma.

A second motorcyclist who appeared to know the downed rider stopped and remained on scene to assist.

Initial reports indicate a vehicle struck the motorcyclist causing them to lose control before fleeing the scene however this information could not be immediately confirmed.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
