Los Angeles: Police Station Evacuated After Suspicious Package Found
01.11.2019 | 1:45 AM | LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street station was evacuated while bomb squad officials investigated a suspicious package, Friday morning.
The bomb squad responded to reports of a suspicious package near a red Honda Civic parked in front of the police station in the 7600 block of Broadway around 1:45 AM.
Officers evacuated the building while crews inspected the package which was later determined to be a harmless citronella candle.
The incident lasted several hours before the all clear was issued around 5:15 AM.
The circumstances surrounding the discovery and subsequent scare were not immediately available.
