Los Angeles: Pedestrian Killed After Altercation

03.26.2019 | 9:25 PM | LOS ANGELES – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle following an altercation, Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to reports that a man had been struck by a car following an altercation near the intersection of Burbank and Sylmar avenues in Van Nuys around 9:25 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a male pedestrian down in the roadway suffering from major injuries.

Firefighter paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian could be seen parked in the middle of Burbank Avenue however it was unclear of the driver remained on scene.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
