Los Angeles: One Dead, Another Wounded After Shooting

02.23.2019 | 12:15 AM | LOS ANGELES – One person was dead and another was hospitalized after a shooting, early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to the reported shooting near the intersection of South Oak and West 14th streets around 12:15 AM.

Units arriving on scene found two victims down near a homeless encampment.

One victim was declared deceased on scene while firefighter paramedics transported to second victim to an area hospital.

Police cordoned off the area while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
