Los Angeles: Officers Shoot Armed Suspect Who Fatally Stabbed Women

05.31.2020 | 9:25 PM | LOS ANGELES – A woman was stabbed to death by another woman was who was wounded in an officer-involved shooting before being taken into custody, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon near the intersection of Melrose Avenue and North Wilton Place around 9:25 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a female suspect stabbing a female victim.

Officers attempted to stop the woman and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

Firefighter paramedics arriving on scene pronounced the female stabbing victim deceased on scene and treated and transported the suspect to an area hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing and officer-involved were under investigation.
