Los Angeles: Officers Injured During On-Duty Crash
12.14.2018 | 11:30 PM | LOS ANGELES – Two police officers were hospitalized after a two car crash, Thursday night.
A two-man marked Los Angeles Police Department patrol vehicle reported being involved in a crash with a civilian vehicle near the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Van Owen Street around 11:30 PM.
Additional officers along with firefighter paramedics arrived on scene and located the two-car crash with both officers injured.
Firefighter paramedics treated both officers on scene before transporting them to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the civilian vehicle was uninjured.
It was unclear whether the LAPD officer was responding to a call or had his lights and siren activated at the time of crash.
