Los Angeles: Officer Injured After Being Hit While Manning Street Closure
01.14.2019 | 2:45 AM | LOS ANGELES – An officer was injured after being hit while manning a street closure in North Hills, Sunday morning.
A Los Angeles Police officer was manning a street closure in the 16400 block of Parthenia Street around 2:45 AM when an SUV struck his vehicle.
The officer was near his patrol vehicle and struck as a result.
Firefighter paramedics responded to the scene and transported the LAPD officer to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Officers detained the driver of the silver Chevy Tahoe that crashed into the closure.
Street racing is being investigated as a possible factor in the crash.
