Los Angeles: National Guard Protects Fatal Shooting Scene

05.31.2020 | 9:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – The National Guard provided security during a fatal shooting investigation that may have involved a protester, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down near the intersection of Olympic Boulevard and Hill Street in the downtown area around 9:00 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced them deceased on scene.

Members of the National Guard and a team of officers stood by and provided security while authorities investigated the fatal shooting.

The shooting is believed to be related to ongoing civil unrest or gang-related.
