Los Angeles: Man Killed By Hit & Run Driver

07.16.2020 | 10:40 PM | LOS ANGELES – A man was killed by a driver who fled the scene, Thursday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian in the 200 block of East Vernon Avenue around 10:40 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male down in the roadway suffering from major injuries.

Firefighter paramedics rushed the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Initial reports indicate that two vehicles struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

Police closed off the scene of the fatal hit-and-run crash while they investigated.
