Los Angeles: Man Fatally Gunned Down in Neighborhood

04.08.2019 | 11:55 PM | LOS ANGELES – A man was shot in the head while walking down a sidewalk in the Chesterfield Square area of Los Angeles, Monday night.

Officers from LAPD’s 77th division responded to the 7000 Block of Western Ave for reports of shots fired with a subject down.

Officers arrived to find a male adult down on a sidewalk, lifeless, suffering a gunshot wound to the head.

LAFD paramedics responded, however were unable to revive the victim, pronouncing him deceased at the scene.

The area was closed to the public as a homicide investigation went underway into the morning hours.

There is no suspect information at this time.
